Attitude

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.

Wow...its true. Yet, often times I do not choose a good attitude. It is hard to describe the thought process I have on this issue....It is defintely like a war going on in my mind...I focus on the bad things and then I realize I cant change it so why be upset? but then I think ..but I dont wanna live with this or that ....(speaking in general terms)....it goes back and forth...

I dont know where I am going with this...but I was just thinking about it...I feel terrible when I think of people who are struggling with soooo much worse than I deal with and they have a smile on their face and have a good attitude, when I do not have anything like that and I am upset about it....

As Jesus says in 1 Thess. 5:16 says "Be joyful always." I want to do that.

  1. I totally agree with this 100 percent. attitude IS everything. and we have the choice to react in a positive or negative way. I think its something that has to be practiced and then it becomes easier the more you look at life in a positive light. it is hard sometimes, and it's also something we need to be reminded of often...so thanks for that Angie!
